Lumberjack the Monster
The incredibly prolific Takashi Miike (“Audition,” “One Missed Call”) returns to horror with his new film “Lumberjack the Monster” which reportedly popped up on Netflix on June 1st with zero promotion. 35th Street
“Train To Busan” director Yeon Sang-ho has reportedly found his first major English-language studio feature – he’s set to write and direct “35th Street” for TriStar Pictures.

Ryu Yong-jae will co-write the film which is being produced by Appian Way and WOW POINT. The project is being dubbed an action/horror film, but plot specifics are under wraps. [Source: Deadline]

Small Things
Lionsgate has acquired the North American, UK, and Ireland distribution rights to the Tim Mielants-directed “Small Things Like These” starring Oscar winner Cillian Murphy.

Set in Christmas 1985, Murphy plays a devoted father who discovers the startling secrets being kept by the convent in his town, and some shocking truths about his own life as well. Lionsgate will partner with Roadside Attractions for the North American theatrical distribution of the film. [Source: Lionsgate]

The Creep Tapes
Actor/filmmaker Mark Duplass has confirmed that the “Creep” film franchise will continue with “The Creep Tapes,” a TV series expansion of the films that has already wrapped production in secret. The series is co-created by Duplass and director Patrick Brice (who also directed every episode) and is currently being shopped to buyers.

The series is based on a collection of video tapes in the secret vault of the world’s deadliest and most socially uncomfortable serial killer, who hires his victims to film him for the day under false pretenses. Each episode exposes a new victim from one of the tapes. [Source: Indiewire]

Land of Women
Apple TV+ has shared the official trailer for its Spanish comedy-drama series “Land of Women” starring Eva Longoria. The show has its debut on June 26th with the first two episodes.

In the show her character Galais a New York empty nester who abruptly leaves New York City with her aging mother and college-age daughter to travel to Spain in an attempt to escape her husband’s loan sharks.
