Thomas Haden Church is the most recent actor to join the cast of Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. This is the third film in the Knives Out murder mystery franchise and Church joins an impressive ensemble cast. The rest of the cast includes Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, and Daniel Craig, who is set to return as world-renowned detective Benoit Blanc.No story details have been revealed for Wake Up Dead Man, but Johnson suggested that it would have a different tone than Knives Out.He said: “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”It’s great to see Haden Church jump on board the franchise!
