I don’t find this surprising if true, but Hayden Christensen is rumored to return in a major role, again, in Ahsoka Season 2. The claim was made by MTTSH on her sub service and honestly there’s nothing else to add that she said other than the title here.
Given how prominent the spirit of Anakin was in Ahsoka Season 1, and where things seem to be going, this does not surprise me at all. Ahoska and Sabine are stuck in another Galaxy with Baylan and Shin. Shin has gone Mad Max style and leading some local grunts. Baylan is after something mystical and Force related, which may be connected to the Mortis Gods from The Clone Wars. Given Anakin has a real and tangible connection to the Mortis Gods, it could indicate there’s more story there to come.
Equally, we literally end Ahsoka and Sabine’s part of the story with Anakin’s Force Ghost watching over them.

I must admit that I wasn’t much of a fan of Ahsoka. It was all a little dull and cartoony for me, not enough maturity and character development. The best parts of the series were the Anakin scenes in Ahsoka’s head and Baylan Skoll. Sadly, with Ray Stevenson’s passing far too young, that role will need to be recast for Season 2. Hopefully Anakin will depart more wisdom towards Ahsoka in her battles to come. However, really, I’m looking for much better writing and some drama in a Season 2.
I also hope that Thrawn, Ezra and Hela are not involved. I’d prefer that becomes the story of the other shows/movies in the MandoVerse. I hope Ahsoka Season 2 solely focusses on these four characters stuck in a different Galaxy. With the caveat we have an interesting story to explore this time.
