Enjoy a Making Of Featurette for Richard Linklater's 'Hit Man' Comedy

"We never wanted that character to fall into a trope." Netflix has revealed a fun making of featurette for Richard Linklater's beloved Hit Man movie – the incredible new "hitman" comedy set in Texas. It will be streaming on Netflix later this week. The film first premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival last year, with a rapturous premiere where audiences went nuts for (read my full review). It also went on to play at TIFF, NYFF, London and Sundance. From the Oscar-nominated writer / director Richard Linklater, starring the great Glen Powell alongside Adria Arjona, comes Hit Man. Inspired by an unbelievable true story, a "hit man" meets his match with a client who steals his heart and ignites a powder keg of deception, delight, and mixed-up identities. Co-written by Linklater & Powell and inspired by a true story, it's a cleverly existential comedy about identity. It also stars Austin Amelio, Retta, Sanjay Rao, and Evan Holtzman. While I really don't think Netflix is handling this release correctly, I'm happy to support the movie anyway & remind everyone it's out ...
